A GAS BLOKE PLUMBING SERVICES — TERMS & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
1. Acceptance of Terms
By requesting, authorising, or receiving our services, or by receiving an invoice, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
2. Payment Terms
Payment is due on receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. Partial payments do not constitute acceptance of any reduced amount.
3. Late Payment
If payment is not received within 7 days, a late fee of up to 10% may be applied. The customer is responsible for all debt recovery, legal, and administrative costs incurred in recovering unpaid amounts.
4. Title to Goods
All materials and goods supplied remain the property of A Gas Bloke Plumbing Services until payment is received in full.
5. Quotes & Estimates
Quotes are based on visible site conditions and information provided by the customer. Any quote may change due to concealed conditions, existing defects, access issues, or additional work required.
6. Variations / Additional Work
Any work outside the original scope (variations) will be charged in addition to the quoted amount. Variations may be approved verbally or in writing.
7. Cancellations & Abortive Call-Outs
If access is denied, the job is cancelled, or the work cannot proceed for reasons outside our control, the agreed call-out or consultation fee remains payable.
8. Existing Conditions & Customer Materials
We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, non-compliant installations, or defects in customer-supplied materials or equipment.
9. Access & Site Conditions
The customer must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. Delays caused by inadequate access, site conditions, or missing information may be charged.
10. Safety & Compliance
We may suspend or refuse work if conditions are unsafe, non-compliant, or present a risk to persons or property. Time lost due to safety issues may be charged.
11. Warranty
Work is warranted in accordance with Queensland plumbing and gas regulations and applicable manufacturer warranties. Misuse, damage, unauthorised repairs, or alterations will void any warranty.
12. Call-backs
Any alleged defect must be reported within 48 hours. Call-backs caused by misuse, access issues, customer actions, or pre-existing faults may be chargeable.
13. Compliance Documentation (Form 4 / Certificates)
Compliance documents, certificates, or reports may be withheld until payment is received in full.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the value of the invoice for the relevant work. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of profit, business interruption, or property damage arising from pre-existing conditions.
15. Disputes
Any dispute regarding charges must be raised in writing within 7 days of the invoice date.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and override any prior representations unless expressly agreed in writing.
